COMPETITION GUIDELINES

  • Any participating golfer must pay the fee before having their shot.
  • Only one shot per golfer is allowed.
  • Should the ball hit the flag stick and not enter the hole, this is not a hole-in-one.
  • Should the ball be wedged between the flagstick and the edge of the cup, this is a hole-in-one.
  • The stroke must be played in accordance with the rules of golf.
  • The golfer will not be allowed to re-take his/her shot under any circumstances.
  • If any part of a golf ball is overhanging the hole, the golfer is allowed a reasonable time to reach the green, and then a further 10 seconds to wait and see whether it will drop. If the ball doesn’t drop after 10 seconds, the golfer is required to play the ball.
  • If one person is paying for another golfer, they must nominate who the golfer is before anyone can take their shot.
  • The golf shot will be part of the golfer’s scorecard.
  • An independent witness must see the hole in one and be verified by at least one fellow competitor or club official. A video of each shot will be recorded by a Hole in Won staff member.
